Zinedabaad designed a 3-part online workshop series exploring language, identity and the partition, where participants from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan reflected on this violent time in our subcontinent’s shared history. This was in collaboration with The Urdu Project, a mixed-media storytelling collective based out of Delhi.
These zines made their way to the Ganga Jamuna Market, a social experiment built on the colloquial concept of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb: two rivers intersect, two worlds collide, and new realities emerge. Designed as a pop-up market, operating out of the boot of a car, the project aimed to create a space for dialogue and exchange with respect to issues of urban identity and cross-border Indo-Pak dialogue; simulating the nomadic movements of a typical street vendor as the car parked at different locations in the city of New Delhi to present our wares, ideas, and experiences.
