During my Master's at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), I taught my classmates how to play Ultimate Frisbee, a non-contact, self-refereed sport built on the Spirit of the Game, its own code of fair play and mutual respect.

What began as informal throws grew into weekly games, eventually building friendships between over 70 students, IDS alumni, and working professionals living in Brighton, across more than 20 nationalities, in just one year.

My friend and partner in crime, Sarah Philpott, and I documented this story as a recipe. It's an invitation to savour our story, and use its ingredients to cook up your own community!
